Victory Story: Called Back from the Doors - Marijane Chooses Life

The Turning Point

Marijane was sitting in her car outside the clinic when she heard our voices over the amplified sound. As we described the reality of how an abortion occurs, she later shared that the message began breaking her heart. Despite that conviction, the weight of the moment was heavy, and she got out of her vehicle and actually began walking toward the clinic doors to go through with her appointment.

We didn't stop calling out to her. Hearing those pleas, she stopped in her tracks, turned around, and walked over to talk with us on the sidewalk.

The Breakthrough

What followed was an intense, weighty conversation. Marijane was in tears, deeply torn and undecided on what to do. But as we spoke truth and love into the situation, she turned the corner and made the courageous decision to cancel her appointment and keep her baby.

Walking With Her

Right after, we took her to get an ultrasound where she saw her baby on screen and completely fell in love. Afterward, we took her out for a meal to celebrate. She expressed an overwhelming sense of relief that her baby was alive and shared that she saw God moving in every single moment of the day.

Since that day, the connection has only grown deeper. Marijane has been genuinely excited about having her baby, and she has already come to church with us multiple times!
