Victory Story: Conviction, Grace, and Life Restored for Mary

Kenneth Calvin Jr.

Pregnant with her seventh child, Mary sat in the clinic parking lot, unsure what to do. One conversation, and something she'd never seen in 37 years, changed everything.

The Encounter

A 37-year-old mother named Mary pulled up to the clinic with her son, who was there for an appointment. Pregnant with her seventh child and feeling overwhelmed, Mary was sitting in her car, completely on the fence about whether to go through with an abortion. She shared that she already felt like she had too many children.

Julia opened up a conversation with her, and the team shared victim imagery showing the reality of abortion—something Mary had never once seen in her 37 years.

The Impact

Seeing the truth broke Mary’s heart. She began to weep as the imagery brought deep, long-buried truth to light. She shared that she had undergone two abortions in the past, including one 18 years ago, and admitted through tears that if she had seen these images back then, she believes she never would have made those choices.

Feeling the weight of her past decisions, Mary wanted to confess them before God. The team prayed with her right there, pointing her toward the mercy, grace, and forgiveness found in Christ. In that moment, she came to understand the true importance of giving her life over to the Lord and recognized that taking the life of her unborn baby was something she could not do.

The Victory

By the grace of God, Mary chose life for baby number seven and repented of her past abortions!

The Team

A huge shoutout to Rocky, Evan, Julia, Sophia, and Mel for standing faithfully in the gap. God used your boldness and compassion to save a precious life and bring healing to a mother’s heart.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
